Charizard is still my favorite and I think he should stay Flying. Not like Gyarados who only learns one Flying move by level up. Also I was saying the idea of Zard being Dragon type is overrated.

Even though Blastiose reaps benefits from KANTOOO shilling, that's only due to its relationship with the other two.
The Johto starters flat out prove this, They made Typhlosion and Meganium completely worthless just so that CHARIZARD and Masuda's favorite could look better by comparison. Feraligatr gets to be an actual Pokémon because they mind another Pokémon taking some attention away from Blastiose .

Gives it a resist against Delphox’s Psychic, it’s described like a living bomb shelter in it’s dex entries (and the typing fits it’s “knight in armor” theme too if we’re going to go for that), much better defensive typing.
