What I was decrying was the constant air of animosity that permeates Pokemon discussion (especially on this board), to the point where offering up any defense of a game that's currently in the hate zeitgeist will get you labeled as a shill or idiot because you dared like something they didn't.
And no, before you say anything, this isn't just pertaining to discussion of newer games. Same exact shit happened for every single gen, and is currently happening for Gens 2 and 5
