Pokemon Rebalancing Thread
ITT: We rebalance Pokemon and things related to Pokemon battling. Whether it be buffing your bro, buffing a type you think is underpowered, creating new abilities, ect

Heracross
New Stats: 80/125/75/40/95/105/BST:520
New Abilities: Sap Sipper/Guts/(HA)Moxie

Pinsir:
New Stats: 85/135/105/35/75/85/BST:520
New Abilities: Insectate/Mold Breaker/(HA)Moxie
Insectate: Bug-Type -ate ability

Dragonite:
New Abilities: Inner Focus/Storm Strike/(HA)Multiscale
Storm Strike: 1.5x Attack and Special Attack in Rain
New Moves: Tail Glow, Coil (obtained as a Dragonair)

Incineroar:
New Stats: 80/120/90/70/80/90/BST:535
New Abilities: Quick Feet/Immolate/(HA)Blaze (all starters now have their Blaze-equivalent as a Hidden Ability, recieved as a starter from the professor)
Immolate: Fire-Type -ate ability

Type Changes:
Steel resists Dark again, but now no longer resists Psychic
Psychic is resistant and supereffective against Fairy
Fairy and Ghost no longer resists Bug
Ice is resistant to Water, Ground, Grass, Flying and Fairy + gains boosted Defense in Hail
Rock now resists Bug, Dark and Ice. Stealth Rocks no longer do type-based damage. Instead, SR does the equivalent damage of two layers of Spikes to all types

It really feels like this is something GF should change more often from game to game. Especially if they want actual change in which Pokemon are useful without going in and fucking with their stats over and over.

I'd also make Flying no longer resist Grass, but that's just me. Grass doesn't like taking hits from anything so maybe leaning harder into it being an offensive type would balance things out. I will admit though it does hit three of the best offensive types in the game for 2x.

Ice is shit defensively from a realism standpoint but that doesn't explain why Bug resists Fighting either, so Ice shouldn't suck as much as it does defensively either. Making it resist Grass seems a bit much but other than that agree with making it more resistant.

I'd argue not even "game to game". Game Freak should be doing regular patch updates for their games, just like every other online game. Even a lot of Nintendo games are now doing balance updates. Game Freak just needs to stop being so stuck in the past

Kind of a lame argument, imo. If realism was the sole guiding factor to type balance, Fighting would not be supereffective to Rock and Steel. Try punching a boulder or a metal wall, see what happens

I may have overnerfed Grass and (possibly) Flying, by making Ice resistance towards it, so I may reverse that. Still, I wanted to make Ice a lot better as a defensive typing. Ice is already great offensively, so it needs no help in that regard. However, so many slow, bulky Ice-Types are so shit, because Ice is such a shitty defensive typing. Ice is mostly a lategame type, so an Ice-Type that's good both offensively and defensively wouldn't be too OP ingame, imo
Hail also needs to be buffed, as a weather. Giving all Ice-Types a defense boost in Hail would serve to do this, but I think other types outside of Ice should also benefit from Hail. Distribute Hail-abusing abilities like Slush Rush and an Ice-Type equivalent of Sand Force to more Pokemon (especially non-Ice Pokemon). Maybe types such as Fire and Steel could also not take chip damage from Hail? idk, just a few ideas

Shell Armor Buff: In addition to preventing critical hits, Shell Armor now also grants the Pokemon resistances to Water, Flying and Ground-Type moves
Exlosion mechanics reverted to pre-Gen 5 mechanics + now also halves Special Defense
Explosion is now either Physical, or Special, depending on the user's highest attacking stat

No to a specific Pokemon but rock types could use some love, and Healing move specific for Rock-Types would help them a lot.

Heal 50% of the user HP, Same has Synthesis, but heals less in the rain, and more in the sand.

A little off-topic, but I've just thought of a way to buff/rebalance Shore Up

Shore Up could heal 50% HP w/ no weather, 75% in Rain, Sand and Sun, but only 25% in Hail. This would buff Hail in a tiny way, while giving Pallosand a small defensive niche in a bunch of different weathers
Of course, Pallosand would need a lot more than just these changes to Shore Up to become good, but it would at least make Pallo unique

Most Fairy-Types have high Special Defense, anyway, so it wouldn't really be OP, imo. It would be just like using a Fighting-Type move on the average Rock or Steel-Type

For Torterra I agree that Grass/Rock would be cool but maybe give it Rock Head as an ability. Then it could use STAB Wood Hammer and Head Smash without recoil.
