First evos are generally okay since theyre marketing machines meant to be toyetic and appealing, the real trial by fire is final evos, which sadly always has missed the mark beginning with Gen 6 when starters went from "cool concept animal" to "fufag in a suit working a job"

Both are easily the two most overrated trios in the series on /vp/ probably owing to nostalgia more than anything. They're guilty of almost all of the shit people whine about Gen 5+ for doing, even if they weren't as egregious about it.
