Gen 7 & 8 were doing better but it was mostly legendaries/UBs/G-Max shit doing the work still. Not asking for everyone to be good but at least make more than 2/3 of final evos worth a damn.

A lot of the Gen Vers were knockoffs or clones of Kanto mons. I would rather what we have had for Gen VII and VIII, 70~ new mons and 30~ regional forms.

Dude Klang looks awful, and I'm a huge Unova fag. A bunch of Unova monsters look terrible, but Klang is literally just a floating gear with a face. If Klingklang was a singular monster, it'd be somewhat excusable but this thing taking up 3 Dex Slots five generations in is just an atrocious decision.

There is having a different opinion. And then there's being wrong.
Mr. Mime is ugly.
Jynx is ugly.
Hitmonchan is ugly.
Exeggcute is a goddamn group of eggs.
Pidgeotto is...just so fucking boring. Out of all the 'literally my mom's' Pidgeotto is the worst.
Gen 1 has some really great designs. The starters, Nidoking, Mewtwo, Rhydon, Scyther, Lapras, Snorlax, Gengar, Alakazam, Arcanine, Ninteales. Why do you choose to defend the obviously shit ones?

Barrierd is cool and so is Jynx. I don't them repellent even if I don't want to fuck them. I don't find it gross either. I don't think its ugly. Although Mr.Mime in the Detective Pikachu was kind of uncanny, I don't think I would say it was ugly.

Pidgeotto is boring yeah, its name is literally pigeon. But it's a very early design, and the monster is something you meet / can hypothetically obtain very early as well, so its fine if its a little dull. It's like getting mad at Rattata just for being a rat.

Bad designs become more apparent and more egregious around Gen 5 because by then you should have your shit together.

I'm not talking about players, I'm talking about the designers. Essentially I'm saying that some hit and miss designs are more acceptable early on because it's like you're just starting out by after a certain point the bad ones become less excusable.
