Even when you consider the based Dragonite skeleton which in contrast was a nicely done reference, this was ridiculous imo.
Now, if the bridge was truly based on the George Washington Bridge, then why the fuck not have the in-game version be called "Washibon Bridge" in Japanese or "Bridge of Braviary" in English, with the EV feathers you find being feathers from said Pokemon? I find that a better reference for an American region, and more plausible that Braviary would be flying over dropping EV feathers, than Charizard migrating all the way from Kantoooooo
