>Fury Swipes>Scratch>BiteHe also apparently has been practicing the move Night Slash and has been learning how to pull it off, yet he's lost no speaking abilities. If a Pokemon like a Gardevoir wanted to learn how to speak, it could do the same thing that he did. Not all Pokemon care about battling, some of them are passive/peaceful and would be fine not having more than 3 moves. We've even seen Pokemon in the show have only 1 or 2 moves, and be completely fine in a fight. Unless you're actively fighting in league/gym/pokemon battles, you'll benefit more for having the ability to talk with the humans around you.
