>>46828842Story does not matter no matter how much /vp/ says it does, and there's a speedup key, only times i ever got truly annoyed with it were the backtracking around the 4th gym and the fucking black hole section near the end
Difficulty is honestly great, game lets you approach any gym nearly any way you want because level caps tend to be above the actual levels of leader's teams, thought it was pretty balanced overall, only gym that kind of sucked was the ice one, also grinding is a pain in the ass so I just hacked in infinite money
Sidequests/puzzles/exploration were great, only bad part was some were particularly too obscure (beldum) or genuinely too difficult (the magic square shit), rewards also didn't feel balanced at times for the required amount of effort or when a mon/item was placed, theres shit like bruxish that isn't until the 14th gym
Music is a mixed bag, generally hated the gym leader/rival themes but the crystal cavern/teleporting forest themes were nice
Graphics/art style is overall pretty meh, don't like most of the character designs but they're honestly not dissimilar to modern pokemon games, some pulse pokemon actually look kind of cool, new shinies are bad but shinies in general suck, tilesets are solid, wasteland area was fucking eye cancer though
Actually has replayability just due to how many pokemon there are
Overall pretty overhated imo, has its faults but not massively moreso than say X/Y onwards and people tend to balloon them up because...I guess people think it makes them look mature? Its maybe like a 6 or 7/10 game
