The models look like something from a mobile game, if you compare them to the ones in Link's Awakening or Animal Crossing. I dont find them in the least bit charming.

The main appeal is to have a pokémon game to sell to children for christmas anon. The fact Game Freak also decided to do a HD version of Sinnoh means they were able to get the best of both worlds, kiddy game for christmas market and HD Sinnoh like the normies had wanted the series to be from SS.
The only ones crying are the manchildren who spent two years shitting on Game Freak's new efforts, then turned around shocked that Game Freak had HEARD their bitching and kept the new era of Pokémon away from their pwecious childhood memories.

I mean ORAS sold 2m less than RS did and DP were more popular again than RS, the Switch is a more popular unit by far than the GBA was (like the DS was to the GBA, leading to DP's imroved performance) and SS is the third highest selling paired title in series' history. All the signs point to this actually doing what no remake in the series has before and actually EQUAL the OG sales run.
Maybe if you worked at Game Freak, instead of your little indie shack, you'd understand this however.

It looks very fucking terrible. If they had to use chibi shit they should've at least made it at least as good as Link's Awakening. There is no appeal at all. I'm guessing GF wanted to make a mobile game (which is why it looks so shit) so they got a mobile developer but they weren't allowed to so they just stuck it on the switch.

You're ignoring this isn't Game Freak anon. This may be the best they're able to manage and still get a game released on-schedule.
I mean, christ I never heard of these fucks till Pokémon passed them BDSP to do while they worked on games relevant to their core series progression, who says they're actually able to do anything but build a game in an engine handed to them in the style originally developed for that engine?

I've seen people say things like "I don't want to play the games at stupid slow speeds" but modern day emulation has been able to circumvent that issue for ages and Renegade Platinum fixes the speed.
I'm glad a new generation of kids get to enjoy it, but as someone who played the originals, I sure as hell won't.

It's much better. I'm so glad they made it in an artstyle similar to SWSH instead of the godawful chibishit LGPE went with.

Let's Go piss looks like hot garbage compared to the chad BDSP. Just look at it. The game goes for no artstyle instead of the interesting one they did for the DP remakes.

I know you're shitposting, but it honestly confounds me how people can look at these two screenshots and say BDSP is the better looking of the two. Granted there's still time til release but that Dawn model looks worse than what you'd get from Masters and the lighting in the battle scene is godawful, which is even funnier as Let's Go had superior lighting to SwSh.
The lighting actually looks good in the overworld though, just a shame the overworld has to be littered with those godawful chibi models.

It's not their call, you smooth brained cunt. NINTENDO as publisher and financiers of Game Freak's outputs decide when they want a game for release. That they have TWO games bought and paid for (BDSP and Legends) actually says more about their plans for their own system. Legends is clearly going to be used to support the Pro, Anouma guaranteeing BotW2 info later this year indicates that the R#Pro will be ready soon too (Reggie Fils-Amie said Nintendo only start talking in-depth about games when they reach an internal deadline in the run-up to its potential release date, usually 6 months out. If Anouma's talking about BotW2, it's launching within 6 months of when they start talking about it, likely E3. It's also been slated by insiders to be a launch title for the Pro).
Nintendo are either launching the Pro at christmas or by the 5th anniversary of the Switch itself, Legends and BotW2 are clearly going to support that. The only thing I'm not certain of is when they decide to launch the Pro itself, but that's why they have BDSP out too - so parents don't need to buy a whole 'nother system for little Johnny to play a new Pokémon game on. At least not initially. :^)

In other words, Game Freak as a Second party studio to Nintendo signed a contract with them to fund every Pokémon title game going forward in return for Nintendo producing the physical copies of the game and marketing the brand for them. This has always been the case, any studio worth their salt would look a distribution/production deal that affords them the best conditions. In Game Freak's case, they get total control how they develop their games while giving up master trademarks on the brand, meaning they can't fuck off with the property, but as they have sales on-tap and more importantly consistently reach their intended market, they're happy as pigs in shite with the arrangement. There's likely no adult under the age of 40 who doesn't know what a pokémon is in the developed world and frankly, those that don't are dying out soon enough that the world will only remember a time when pokémon existed and none of the before times.
And you still try to pass your own misunderstanding of the gaming industry off as fact, bet you think they have a big button hooked up to a PC marked "GameMaker 4000" they push and wait 8 months for the code to be spat out too, yeah?

Great, I was huffing and puffing whether it would be a pre or post-christmas release. That confirms it, it'll be announced and shown off with BotW2 at E3 like BotW was with a release date around the 5th year anniversary of the Switch itself, Legends will be part of a glut of launch games and after support for it and BDSP was spat out to drain the last few salees of solely Switch-based games.
Watching what Nintendo are doing with their other IP's and factoring that into what Pokémon's also doing is a better method of predicting the future endeavours of them, than just adhering to what Pokémon's doing and when Anouma's first appearance since announcing BotW2 starts off with "I know what you want to hear, but I'm not telling you today. I'll have news for you later", it means they're reaching the point in production where they begin to reveal information about the game as they wind down to launch date.
