The music was the only thing redeeming about swsh. Not to mention sm was full of amazing tracks. Xy was really the only game where I felt the music was weaker than the rest, and even then I still like a lot of the tracks.

There are ways to give good focus to the pokemon, and HMs are not one of them.
A better way of doing that would be having "utility move" slots for HMs which aren't part of the roster they can use in battle, explained as skills pokemon can use in the field but don't know well enough to use in a fight.
