Have you given the big Romhack of Gale of Darkness a try?

It completely makes the game much better and updates it to modern standard!

I'm waiting until I get my Biden Bucks to get a hacked Wii that I'm able to play this on. I hear (and see in this very thread) that it works better on actual hardware and my laptop sucks.

You can get one now Anon, wiis are SUPER fucking cheap, and have so much modability, its crazy

You can play, Gameboy games, Gameboy Color, N64 (buggy but most are playable), And obviously Gamecube and Wii, and even fucking Playstation games (also super buggy, but some games work)

It does include two Alolan versions, Marowak, and Ninetales. And you can even get Bonsly late game.

He does plan on including some Gen 4 pokemon down the line, but not many
