>predict Focus BlastThis is a two player game and they can predict your switch by doubling, using a set-up move, not to mention that a Pokémon that switches in and is immediately forced out again (like, say, a Ferrothorn against a non-choiced Lele) is a shit check. I'm not saying Steel types are worthless checks but most of them tend to be quite exploitable. And the idea that often floats around on /vp/, that is to turn them into actually worthless checks by removing their resistance, is sure to end in a disastrous way (like it already did with Ghost).
