that card is shit but I agree, i often wonder, how can they fix 3d models, has anyone seen it done well? Is it literally just a saturation problem or does it also require more active stances

Yeah the card isn't the best swampert has to offer.

But I think it's a mix of static animation and the colors being too washed out. In gen 8 the backgrounds have more color than some of the Pokemon and that's saying a lot.

I like the darker blue for the body, but I'm pretty sure those fins are supposed to be more blackish like the official art and the other sprites.

They unironically couldn't manage to do it. They did more work for an inferior result.

The base colors aren't the issue, its SuMo's complete lack of a lighting engine and lack of an edge lighting effect on the texture mapping.

These look worse. Colors that vibrant don’t transfer well to 3D, I can see why GF chose to use the color schemes from official art

yeah I agree, it can be resolved by keeping the colour scheme of the left but upping the saturation so the yellows and blues match with the right
