Nah, Typhlosion fits Silver's color scheme and its explosiveness is befitting of his startling violent outbursts. He fits Silver way more than Gold and if it weren't for PokeSpe and Chikorita being weak you'd never think otherwise.

Silver has little violent outbursts, he's usually cool and collected. Feraligatr fits him for this reason, as well as being a mean and vicious crocodile that fits a villain character more than some friendly badger.

Typhlosion doesn't necessarily have to be friendly. A Pokemon raised by an evil person will become evil.

Also Silver is described as vicious and excessively brutal by people constantly. He shoves you around and in the remakes, he strips you naked and rapes you.

I think Typhlosion and Feraligatr are both fine with Silver, it's Meganium who doesn't fit simply because they aren't strong. If they were, Silver would give Kurama vibes.
