ITT: post aspects from a game you recently played and liked unrelated to pokemon that you would like to see in a mainline title
I want pokemon maintenance to be more obtuse and realistic/intricate. lassoing mons would be neat

Just because of the light hearted tone and the anime. That's it. Yo-Kai Watch barely had any impact on the franchise, the 2 series are so fundamentally different from each other I can't see why people think otherwise.

botw has a ton of flaws but something i liked was the laid back taking pictures and registering every neat thing you find into the slate. with 3d pokemon in large overworlds being the direction the main games are heading, it'd be neat to have a pokemon snap mechanic that lets you take pictures of the wild pokemon to register them as an alternative to fighting every single one. and just like the dragons in botw it would be cool as shit if you were in the right area at the right time to see a legendary far up in the sky and register it long before you're able to fight it
