It's literally referred to as a Shellder. When a Shellder bites a Slowpoke, it evolves. It just doesn't get a new name because "Slowbro/Slowking" is the name of their combined form. If they get separated, they revert back into Slowpoke and Shellder.

They already sad they tried and scrapped that idea for a new pokémon already anon.
There's a reason why they don't implement the shit that's "obvious" to you, they tried it, found it's not a feasible idea and scrapped it to concentrate on workable ones.

It's an evolution of Shellder, but it becomes part of Slowbro. It doesn't have its own Pokemon classification and is still referred to as Shellder.

Yeah, I hate it. There are now 4 different methods to evolve Slowpoke and not a single one of them involve Shellder in any way.
Mantyke did it in Gen 4(and was possible before).
