When will Pokémon games start having funny dialog again? 99% of the npcs just talk about how much they love pokemon instead of anything funny or interesting.

Never, because Gamefreak want it to be another commercialised, homgenised charmless husk of a franchise like Super Mario thanks to their association with Nintendo. They forgot that Pokemon is first and foremost a Japanese RPG, and it should reflect that.

If I'm playing Pokemon the last thing I care about are NPCs. Unless we're battling, they're improving my Pokemon, or fappable, I really don't care what comes out of their mouths.
