Morioto specifically mentioned he himself (being the battle engine autist of the dev team and has been since Gen I) had a duty to continually test out the evolution of the battles and that 7 or more 'mons, or 5+ move slots or whatever other grasping shite /vp/ thinks would be good actually fucks up the game.
