Never failed one because I have never hunted for one, all my shinies are either shitmons or traded ones. Idk, but they don’t give me that sense of fullfillment or satisfaction, most of the time I feel like it’s just wasted time.

I don't shiny hunt because that's just an insane waste of time, but I was annoyed to encounter shinies when I was playing in the Emerald Battle Tower (which honestly just shows how grinding through BF is really no different than shiny hunting dice rolling).

Lol the shinies in the battle tower are always shiny (like that trainer with the green espeon in FRLG battle tower). They decided to give a few trainers them for shits.

It's not like you "rolled" a shiny while battling a trainer kid. That's not how it works. Sorry :(

You're hilariously wrong. You're thinking of trainer tower (trainer hill in emerald). There's no shiny machoke in trainer tower/hill.
That guy truly was unlucky. Battle tower shinies are full odds.

Yes you are completely wrong. The battle tower does not have scripted shinies, only trainer tower in FRLG does. Trainer tower was converted to trainer hill in emerald and does not have scripted shinies. But even if it did, it's an entirely different building than the battle tower, which still has full odds shinies.

A few shiny raid battles but nothing I couldn't have just found myself since sword & shield are stupid easy to get shinies. Never failed a shiny on normal encounters.
