Going meta, there's no Japanese studio can hold a candle to how Game Freak treats its staff. They not only work a more european-style work week, they get bonuses paid twice-yearly, include allowances for working at home, working on public holidays, fully paid travel expenses, and management compensation. Also thrown in are paid vacation leave, summer vacation, and New Year vacation. Employees only have to work from Monday to Friday for 8 hours (flexible timing system included). They do not have to return to work on weekends or public holidays.
There's no other studio out there can or will treat its staff like that and unlike all the rest of the studios out there, every Japanese child will have encountered Pokémon at this stage meaning if someone joins and gets he ethos of the series, they're hardly going to go elsewhere to give up their schweet work experience for crunch, unpaid overtime and having to work more than 40 hours a week, to produce the same thing that GF do in the same time period. They don't share your mindset of "whaaa the kiddy game ignores me so it bad", they get what it's about, which is why theyre still pitching at "kids like me when I was little :3).
