I’ve seen a disappointing amount of outrage gritting regarding the dumb reasons Pester Balls were excluded from New Pokémon Snap? Like what the hell did Oke put in them to make the new games director outright call them a bad idea. They never hurt the Pokémon, just pestered them.

twitter softie nintendrones probably posted about the "trauma" they experienced from seeing pokemon pestered and devs saw. Animal crossing villagers have no personality now for the same reason, some lonely kid had a panic attack because their only friend in a game was humorously mean to them once.

The funny thing is the new item that replaces the Pester Ball can be thrown at them and cause reaction but the director absolutely states the Pokémon don’t feel any bit of ouch what so ever. I don’t know, I think it would have been better if they turned the Pester Ball into a spray so their wouldn’t be any confusion.
