No. I loved gens 6 and 7 and didn't like SWSH. It wasn't bad, just boring... I never finished it. I stopped after I beat Raihan.

They at least had all of the moves, pokemon, a good post game episode, the return of canon characters, a good difficulty curve in USUM, they still had the PSS, they kept mega evolution, etc.

I'm not your weird schizoid boogeyman. That fag thinks gen 8 was the best. I don't think it was the worst, but it had enough flaws to make it a SIGNIFICANT step down from gens 6 and 7.

region was linear, second best story and characters, new pokemon were decent, mainly just incineroar being design fucked, regionals are decent, charizard riding's dumb, theming was orange islands and throwbacks

Are you mentally challenged? Gen II was a horribly implemented mess. HGSS might have made johto at least playable but it didn't fix half of the problems from the original GSC.

Most people don't give a shit what issues you have with Gen 2, sure it's not flawless but its flaws do very little to detract from the game, and they sure aren't anywhere near enough to outweigh all the good things. People with unpopular priorities or genwar agendas think the shortcomings of GSC/HGSS matter more than they do to the ordinary player.
