Nugens only broke the illiusion of choice. What is the point in to going through a town youve already been through (with no new content to speak of) just so you can remove a roadblock that railroaded you in the first place. To get a pp up with a newly acquired HM? There is also no replay value in sequence-breaking gym leaders. Theyre still easy, not properly scaled and you still need to thrash the ones you skipped earlier (now with even more ease).
