>>46878985I had Emerald, Fire Red, Red, and Yellow when I was 3-7 and played the hell out of them all multiple times but I never felt a real connection to the regions specifically. I actually fucking hate Hoenn all things considered but I still played through it a bunch. Sinnoh and Johto was where it was for me, it wasn't even HGSS that made me like Johto, I didn't know Gen 2 existed until a cousin lent me Silver in 09 and told me they were remaking it to my absolute shock. Played it to hell and fell in love with it and had hundreds of hours in Diamond and replayed Platinum well over 20 times.
