The first time I got to soar was probably the largest spike in joy I had while playing ORAS. This is one of the coolest things GF has ever done. Never used fly, spent a lot of time soaring and staring down at the Hoenn region when I had nothing better to do.

It was neat, but a bit sullied by the fact that the fastest way to fly between locations has not only been in every game, but further improve in Gen 6 by allowing you to fly to routes.

Soaring was fucking kino. No need to waste a move slot on Fly, and it was visually beautiful. The mirage spots were pretty cool too.
