That they have the means to create something better, not the aberrations from Gen 6 onwards

Low res monsters worked for Gameboy games because they needed to create something simple for the system environment and help with development, in 3ds Era onwards they choose to don't try at all even though they could have done something better and greater than what we got

Yes, because the point of the image is compare and contrast the Pokemon with the real creatures they're based on. It also highlights how Aerodacty looks more like a wyvern than it does a pterosaur.

They actually had more time since it was creatures inc working on it at the time, now they design is even blander Pokémon, so they don't have to work as much on the 3d model and that fucked an already fucked batch of new Pokémon
