This has been the single worst meta I've ever played in this franchise. Unbanning the legendries was a fucking atrocious idea and made every team the same damn thing

This like it should of had crowned Zamazenta’s stats with its offensive and defensive stats swapped and swapped types with Zamazenta. There is no fucking reason for it to basically have this disgustingly high attack (especially with its bs free +1 attack ability) and speed that basically out sped the entire base game dex plus base 115 defences with the best DEFENSIVE type in the game which basically further makes Zamazenta a failure as shield Pokémon (ironic that Zam is better as an offensive Pokémon in its base form than a defensive Pokémon). The only logical thing gamefreak did is lock Zacian to an item otherwise it would be hands down no contest the most gamebraking Pokémon in existence (which even in its current state it’s more overpowered than mega Rayquaza).

They should've made Zacian Ghost/Fighting, since that's the best offensive type in the game.

Zacian should've been Ice/Ground.
Ice is strong against Dragon and Ground is strong against Poison, making both types super effective against Eternatus.
Zamazenta should've been Fairy/Steel. Fairy is immune to Dragon and Steel is immune to Poison, making it immune to both of Eternatus's STABs.
That'd make them perfect offensive and defensive answers to Eternatus respectively, which is what they're meant to be in lore.

I had way more fun with this format than I did in non restricted ones. At least the OP legendaries gave some defense against Dynamaxers, regular mons just cant compare.

In terms of variety, the years with legendaries are atrocious, but in this specific generation, sacrificing variety really helped to make things more competitive since otherwise dynamax turned things a lot more into one-turn rock paper scissors shitfest. The whole generation stil sucks ass though.
