Where the fuck are these romanizations coming from? The only part of their original names that's supposed to be different is the last syllable, so why is one "DESUkarn" but the other is "DEATHbarn"?

Iirc names are concepted and written in Romaji first, without proper kana pronunciation.

But the first part of both of their names is supposed to come from “death.” So the point is they should both be “Desu” or both be “Death,” there’s no reason the prefix should be different

Can you not read kana? The Japanese alphabet isn't capable of writing "Death" as we pronounce it. They don't have a "th" letter so they use "su" which sounds similar. Unless I'm totally misunderstanding your point entirely...

You are. I know they’re using “desu” to represent the word “death,” but my point is that Cofafrigus’s romanized name is spelled as D-E-S-U-karn while Runerigus’s is actually spelled “DEATH-barn.” It’s inconsistent

What I remember is that the romanizations are official. You can see them in official filenames for sure. The English name, the Japanese kana name and the romanization are all official. Only the transliteration isn't.
