The show is super cringey throughout regardless of the season. If you can stomach that, I suggest the Sun and Moon seasons. They’re fun and the cast of characters outdoes every other region’s, easily.

Honestly this. Sun and moon is fun if you decide to stop taking it seriously. There were even some scenes where I legitimately audibly laughed. It's obviously not some groundbreakingly deep story, but it's fun for what it is.

I don't find anime worth unless you are interested to see how certain Pokémon design works. Pokémon like Golurk or Probopass have cool gimmicks that you can only see in anime.

OS. Kanto/Orange are fun and while Johto is hit or miss, there are still some some fun episodes here and there. AG-XY is crap and rehashes a lot of worn out Kanto tropes. SM/PM is really up to what you want to watch.

Every episode uses the exact same formula and has been for 20 years now.

The only episodes even slightly worth watching are the League episodes at the end of each series.
Ash vs Paul in Sinnoh is probably the closest it ever got to being good.

You'd be better off watching yugioh or something.
