If your intent is just to have fun using your bro, there's nothing wrong with that. If your intent is to win games, you should use something else.
This is also why Pachirisu isn't an example of this. Even if we pretend OP is referring to low tier mons in general and not just Typhlosion, Sejun Park used Pachirisu with the intent of winning games.
