>>46904343To be fair, while having a weak theme, it was pretty heavily requested, and they try to do some of those no matter how weak a theme. Like Venom VS Bane which is just Marvel VS D.C. with characters that get powers from "venom" (while in no way being similar substances at all). And if anything Rookie Digimon can run the gauntlet from "really weak" to "surprisingly powerful", so I think having it just be Renamon was okay.
Episode was still shit, though. Analysis wasn't all too entertaining, fight was pretty boring (which is a shame, the worst fights are the ones where I'm absolutely bored), and yeah it was a pretty blatant "apology" episode. Those tend to be the worst ones quality wise too, since I don't think they're putting real effort into them. Just like how they did Ace, man who turns into fire, VS Natsu, man who EATS fire, following Erza losing to Zoro.
