>>46906941Oh god I'm not getting into the concept of loss in video games. Let me put it this way, Wario Land 2 is still a platformer even though you can't die. I could go on a huge rant about this, and have several times on several websites, but I'm not feeling up to it right now.
>>46907481I guess that's a matter of taste. If you're not really into the aesthetic, not into taking pictures as an intrinsically motivated person, and not into getting good ranks as an extrinsically motivated person, it can be a hard sell. Not to mention we don't know everything about the game yet, from how many courses to if you can submit multiple pictures of the same Pokemon (I think, they may have said that). Again, if you're not really into the idea of seeing Pokemon in their natural environment, which I imagine a lot of the work went into, then you're probably not going to enjoy it, which is fine. Personally I'm interested to see if there's any other courses, the aesthetics are a bit samey for a series like Pokemon with some wacky creatures. Like, the original Snap was pretty varied with that, all we've seen so far are forests, plains, and beaches/sea, right? I'm not forgetting something am I? Because while all those are important there's a lot more they could be doing.
