The games and marketing are on different pages aside from we need a rushed game for the Christmas season if they where they wouldn’t sell any toys of Pokémon not featured in swsh and it’s mediocre dlc and the good dlc with the legendary raid cave

It makes perfect sense. The mainline dropped the gimmick, but products in development while megas were used kept them in as a way to appeal to fans of megas. The only exception to this is Journeys, which mostly brought in Lucario because Ash has one and the entire theme of the show is going to different regions, including Kalos.

That is a 3D model you tard, just heavily stylized. This is the actual GMax Charizard art, and you can see that it looks much flatter, along with other subtle differences (like lacking shadowing on its left foot's claws)

It's getting added to SWSH in June. New update is designed to prolong lifespan by gradually handing out sets of Mega stone, along with some more mons. DP mons get added in winter update.

You do realize the very FACT that the Bank Pokédex records Mega’s as well as regular Pokémon, and you transfer Pokémon from Bank to HOME, the HOME Pokédex updates as well, means there is no guarantee that Mega’s are coming back anywhere outside of Pokémon GO.

I mean, I still believe they will, but the above is still a fact.

Why do people think megas won't come back? There's literally no reason for them not to. They've been in as many generations as the National Dex was at this point.

Megas are in every region. There's nothing restricting them like with Z-Moves and Dynamax that only work in Alola and Galar respectively for some reason.

That implies there was ever a first gimmick, to which I will say Z-Moves are detestable for starting the whole trend of regional gimmicks to begin with in Gen 7.

A fact that its entirely irrelevant to the discussion because Home is to be the hub for post Gen 7 games so if they wanted those out it was a retardedly easy chance to do so.
Not to mention that mons return to normal when transfered from Go to Home.

according to XY and ORAS lore the first mega evolution hapoened in Kalos and other than Mega Rayquaza mega evolution didn't occur anywhere else until research on it began recently in Kalos and Hoenn, then stobes were exported to Alola, Kanto, and presumably other regions. In LA's time a few hundred years before XY, nobody would've known enough to bring mega stones to Sinnoh, especially when it hadn't even been settled yet.

biggest cope of the century, megas could hypothetically return one day, but you'd have to be lobotomized to assume Ilca's modles have anything to do with it, also depsite what you may think I believe that actually is a model for the gmax, but they're the only type of model that share the lighting from their art making them fit more

Fair enough about the bank part being irrelevant. I was just meaning that it was easier for them to just program Mega forms into Home because they were already in Bank’s background data, and easy enough to just straight transfer over. GO’s transfer is only recent, so I was unsure if Mega Data transferred over as well.
