>>46930705I replayed Shield recently (to get the other Regi) and lots of the game isn't very interesting to navigate.
To my recollection, the routes in the game were the second one (the straight line to the professor's because it's nice and long and sight-seeing with extra stuff to explore later), the farming route after the first mine (visually different, lots of optional trainers if you like that), the cliffs to Stow-On-Side, Glimwood Tangle, the ruins towards Circhester and the Sea Route to Spikemuth
And that sounds like a lot, but that leaves so many that feel not just the same but almost identical to each other in game with only 10 numbered routes.
The first Wild Area is okay, I just wish we were forced through it more often.
Isle of Armor is the best area in the whole game, though.
