N isn't a Zoroark, but his dad is.

So, in Pokemon X and Y, a random NPC tells you that Pokemon don't actually lay eggs; they're more akin to seeds or cradles.

And as we all know, in DPPt, we learn that humans used to marry Pokemon.

So, my theory is that N's human mother found a Zoroark, they fell in love, and because eggs aren't actually created via mating but instead something else, there's no need to worry about sexual compatibility between the two. However, thanks to clerk Trisha (and some manga and anime material), we know that humans still give live birth and get pregnant. So, this means that Zoroark and N's mother would fall in love, and instead of spontaneously creating an egg like Pokemon, N's mother would spontaneously gets pregnant with N, which is, essentially, an immaculate, fatherless conception, like Jesus- and I don't need to convince you about the blatant Christian imagery in Black and White, with Plasma being the Knights Templar, Ghetsis's Japanese name being G-Cis, the Gym Leader crucifixion in the manga, etc. Even if Ghetsis is the one named after Jesus, N is clearly the Christ figure in this Poke-Christianity, so his sexless conception would match with the immaculate conception of Jesus Christ.

But because it's the modern day, human/Pokemon relationships are frowned on so people would think N is a freak, so they sent him to live in the woods with Pokemon since he can talk to them by virtue of being half-Zoroark.
