So, in Pokemon X and Y, a random NPC tells you that Pokemon don't actually lay eggs; they're more akin to seeds or cradles. And as we all know, in DPPt, we learn that humans used to marry Pokemon. So, my theory is that N's human mother found a Zoroark, they fell in love, and because eggs aren't actually created via mating but instead something else, there's no need to worry about sexual compatibility between the two. However, thanks to clerk Trisha (and some manga and anime material), we know that humans still give live birth and get pregnant. So, this means that Zoroark and N's mother would fall in love, and instead of spontaneously creating an egg like Pokemon, N's mother would spontaneously gets pregnant with N, which is, essentially, an immaculate, fatherless conception, like Jesus- and I don't need to convince you about the blatant Christian imagery in Black and White, with Plasma being the Knights Templar, Ghetsis's Japanese name being G-Cis, the Gym Leader crucifixion in the manga, etc. Even if Ghetsis is the one named after Jesus, N is clearly the Christ figure in this Poke-Christianity, so his sexless conception would match with the immaculate conception of Jesus Christ. But because it's the modern day, human/Pokemon relationships are frowned on so people would think N is a freak, so they sent him to live in the woods with Pokemon since he can talk to them by virtue of being half-Zoroark.

Interesting, I have a similar but kind of opposite silly headcanon regarding N's origin. I think his mother was the Zoroark and that Ghetsis is his biological father. I agree that N is Pokemon Jesus, but he's also Pokemon Abe no Seimei. From his mother he inherited a liminal nature between human and Pokemon and from Ghetsis he inherited the bloodline of the ancient royals, who were either peak human Übermenschen or some kind of Nephilim-like superbeings. That's why N can talk to Pokemon and why both he and Ghetsis are so tall. AZ is a pureblooded remnant of the same lineage.

Other then N being set up as a messiah archetype, everything else you guys theorize about seems very far fetched

>>46940733 Oh, so that's the "King Harmonia" I've heard people talk about. I heard someone say that he was AZ's brother or a descendant of him, is that true?
Or is Harmonia maybe the father/ancestor of the Hero of Truth and Hero of Ideals?

>>46939907 Still there is circumstantial evidence. I find it awfully convenient that Ghetsis found a child who just happened to look like him stranded in the woods one day and decided to use him for his plans. Even if not father and son they could still be directly related through the same Unova house (Harmonia)

he says that n is not worthy of sharing the name Harmonia with him, implying it wasn't original
my guess: ghetsis claims to be descended but n actually is descended from this ancient king
ghetsis believes he has a claim over unnova but prophecy made n the hero of unova

>>46940053 >>46939810 Contributing to this thread, Masuda's musings about N from B/W development claim he was "born of (a) Pokemon" Although considering the nature of Japanese linguistics that statement is open to interpretation. I don't agree with the immaculate conception but the idea of him having at least one nonhuman parent would not surprise me.

>>46940053 >N is Pokemon Jesus, but he's also Pokemon Abe no Seimei I totally agree with you, I wouldn't be surprised if those were the explicit parallels they were going for in the design process. N being some kind of wizard angel king fits nicely with that supposed scrapped plot point about N being able to see the past and the future. Gen 5 lore is fucking wild.

Masuda probably translated it to English himself, so that's why the English version is slightly different, but as a moon reader the translation Lava provided is accurate.
