When you create a product for the buyer you tell them you are solving their problems (I am buying a large bottle of soda so I can sell you a smaller version) Much like in the soda market wholesale soda is highly competitive thus why large liters of soda are so cheap. And in the smaller size soda market is less competitive (not many companies can own a bottling plant and provide smaller sized sodas) which is why smaller soda is so expensive and popular.
This isn't a clear cut analogy because the products/ markets are different but point I'm trying to make is following the market isn't noble its expected. Unless you are selling the cards at cheaper than market value.
If I buy up crates of pokemon product to sell to other people is that a noble goal? No. You are doing it because it benefits you mostly.
