No seriously, what was the point of these 2 mono Bug-type shitmons? Shit stats, shit moves besides Tail Glow, shit designs... They hardly look like bugs. They look like some non-descript plushies you'd see on sale for little girld at a Claire's. You can't use them in competitive, you can't even use them in-game... SERIOUSLY what the fuck was their purpose? To shill the stupid doubles mechanic? Didn't we already have enough fucking doubles filler already with Plusle and Minun/Solrock and Lunatone/Gorebyss and Huntail/Zangoose and Seviper? Was this REALLY necessary?

Maybe when they were reprogramming the entire fucking engine they were trying to figure out how to get the Nidorans to be able to hatch from the same parents, and these two were made up while testing it.

Honestly with how hard they went in on the duality shit in Gen 3 you'd think it was the first time they'd ever thought of the idea. Like woohoo a bunch of red monsters and blue monsters to fit with our second set of red and blue games. big whoop?

Furthermore, they don't evolve, and they are placed dabsmack in the middle portion of the games, which runs contrary to the established trope of Bugs being quick to evolve and be early game beginner mons to use. They have virtually no significance, no use, besides being filler for the dex just because some designer wanted to make a firefly couple (And if you ask anyone at a glance, "firefly" would be the last thing on their minds). These 2 are right up their in bugshitmonnyness alongside the Wormadams in Gen 4, but at least those had a form gimmick. You compare them to even the Gen 3 bugs and they dont stack up:

>Nincada is part ground and has a cool gimmick with Shedinja
>Masquerain was water as surskit and makes a face
>Armaldo was a rock bug
>The early bugmons of Wurmple and the cocoons had a neat if frustrating gimmick turning into 2 different butterflies

These 2 on other hand... Nothing. Literally nothing. You can say whatever cope you want like ohhh theyee cute and whatnot but youre better than that.
