I thought Duraludon was pretty good in Doubles due to Stalwart.

It also has pretty well-rounded stats, with only its Special Defense being bad

Not him but what the fuck is it supposed to be now? It literally looks like a cross between a sentient toilet and a fucking lighter. Whatever concept they went for they missed the fucking mark completely. Judging by its relationship with Tyranitar it seems to suggest they went for a Mecha Godzilla motif but they clearly completely fucked that up since nobody sees anything but a fucking stiff port-a-potty whenever they see it.

Duraludon is genuinely such a garbage fucking design. I think most designs in this series are redeemable in one way or another but Gen 8 introduced a few that I just can't defend for the absolute life of me

Well yeah, Turner got a lot of control of this gen's designs, so we've got a mostly-new guy of a totally different nationality than usual.
Most of this gen feels more like something you'd see in an okay-budgeted Pokemon knockoff because of it.
