>>46959779This. If you're Dynamaxing the same Pokemon every time, you're probably not going very far. You need to be able to adapt on the fly; to be dynamic. Sometimes you need Dynamax to score a key KO that sets up a Pokemon that was being checked to sweep the rest of the team. Sometimes you need Dynamax to survive the one turn or to block a Fake Out just long enough to get a key buff or debuff off. Sometimes you need to overwrite an opposing weather or terrain, or even set up a terrain you didn't think you'd need (say to block sleep with Electric Terrain). The entire point of Dynamax is a balanced team will now have access to a set of tools (most weathers, terrains, buffs, and debuffs) and you can choose the best tool for the battle. And the proof is in the pudding. Gen 8 VGC has seen more varied teams and strategies than any previous gen to the point that the number of teams you need to be ready for is almost overwhelming.
