I don't even care about Pokemon as a franchise but Toxtricity is one of the best character designs I've ever seen in any media. All 3 versions of it are fucking perfect

it's a punk rock themed monster. Where along the lines did the design fail at conveying that as best as it could? Being bipedal helps convey that concept more cleanly, being a quadroped or a design without arms would hinder the concept and even with that they still pulled it off with a quadroped Dynamax + its normal form has short legs and elongated arms + uses its anatomy in its chest scales rather than a more literal guitar-like object to strum to make it look less human and more like a monster. There's a lot of thought that went in here

I wasn't saying that it failed to convey its concept, rather i'm saying the concept to begin with is garbage, just like its garbage to make a Mime Pokémon the way Mr.Mime was made

what's wrong with the concept of a mime in Pokemon? Invisible barriers as a superpower has a ton of combat potential and illustrates a subset of what you can do with psychic abilities in a franchise that has psychicness as one of its 18 core universal elements.
Likewise, what is it about Toxtricity's concept you don't like? You just don't like the music genre or something?

There's no rule against humanoid designs, there has never been a rule against it since gen 1. If it looks good it looks good, saying it's humanoid is not a legitimate criticism.
