Can someone explain the appeal of Sinnoh? Not shitposting. I started replaying platinum after pokemon day and reassessed my thoughts.
>Regional dex was pretty limited and the drip feed distribution kills replays. Especially after already having used most of the oldgen mons before playing DPPT.
>Didnt think much of the map design. Everything being interconnected doesnt stop the games from being linear in their progression. The traversal of the world isnt engaging. Dont really care for backtracking since there is no new content except for some ethers behind a cut tree.
>The route or dungeon design wasnt anything to write home about. Mt coronet really felt like HM spam for the sake of it and was mostly just hallways with one or two paths.
>The world design felt uninspired. I didnt find the areas memorable or distinguable from one another aside from that greek area.
>The music was interchangeable muzak and lacked personality. Snowpoint was the only tune I found fitting.
>Disliked Giratina and Cynthia involvement at the final showdown. Couldnt they both prevented it or stopped him later? The story picks up late and the setpieces like the lake bomb or hideout were meh.
>Liked the attempt to give npcs some strategies (stealth rock, brine, weather) but only candice snow cloak froslass was the only bump in the road I came across.
>Exploration like Fuego or Wayward were neat details but not that intrinsically or extrinsically rewarding
