They could resell toys of older pokemon, not like little six year old timmy will know Feraligatr, but when a pokemon like that becomes relevant again, the kids will think it's a new pokemon, and they still get to milk the KANTOOOOO mons. So by going down a different route, and expanding their horizons, they will manage to stay consistent along with keeping their old fans hooked, while resolving the issue of kids getting bored of pokemon. Legends arceus is the gate way of resolving all of the issues that lead to worse gens keeping everyone happy, and making more money.
All of this a win win situation. So finally not doing things in a shit monotonous way would help greatly.
