Say what you want, but Byleth got some decent local and regional wins before the coof hit and shut everything down shortly after their release. MkLeo also busted him out in tourney, but I don't really count that given it was for the final match against a mindbroken Maister. There's more pointing towards him being viable than not, and no amount of seething will change that.
