>>46982051Meh, if I made a hack and saw virtually every team used the same Pokemon I'd probably want to balance things out a bit too. Otherwise the only solution is buffing EVERYTHING else to even the playing field, which just results in endless powercreep because people sperg out if you ever nerf anything (which is what's happening right now)
I think the issue is that it's literally impossible to make a difficult Pokemon hack AND give the player access to every Pokemon, moveset and item in the game.
Like Renegade Platinum gives you access to nearly everything too, but it barely feels like a difficulty hack at all. It's just an 'enhanced' version of vanilla with more teambuilding options.
Emerald Kaizo was more difficult because it removed all the boosting moves from the player and gave the AI ridiculous teams that the player can't have. But people bitch about that too because it's 'artificial difficulty' or some shit.
My personal ideal hack would be Emerald Kaizo-tier bullshit difficulty, but add the dexnav and easy levelling, and moveset customization (within reason) that RR offers to lessen the grind between battles. But that's just me, and you can't please everybody at once.
RR just needs to decide what it wants to be, because right now it's failing to be a Drayano hack, and it's failing to be a kaizo hack.
