Now knowing all this and the very fact there's a core game being shat out at Christmas, while Game Freak get a Spring release for the first time since series launch points to more than Game Freak just being late. Game Freak-made Pokémon games are system sellers, proven time and again. And the only reason Nintendo would want them to miss a christmas release date, was if they wanted to shift consoles at some other point in the calendar year and knew their pet monster franchise can do that handily, particularly when BotW2 will be just as big a draw to the normies on top.
