they're some of the best spin-off games to date. clunky and weird but they took a risk and it payed off. considering these games resale for about $150-250 says that the games are sought after because they are classics. the prices will NEVER depreciate

did you ever play stadium? battle revolution? sometimes pokemon games don't need to be the same formula to be fun. i put HOURS into Battle revolution and there is no story mode. it was just a fun experience.

yes, and Stadium is better because it's actually challenging and the minigames are fun. Battle Revolution on the other hand is complete dogshit and pretty much only existed to sell people a ranked laddering system for $50.

In other topic, does anyone have Takeshi Shūdo's preliminary concept art for Lugia? In its first inception it was supposed to be a "Goddess of the ocean" or something like that and it was nicknamed "Pokemon X". Even the blue part of its belly was X shaped (most of the concept reminded the same through development tho) I remember seeing it posted once in here but forgot to save it.

there is no such concept art. shudo had an idea for a deep sea legendary pokemon, gamefreak polished off a beta design they'd been working on and said here use this. shudo himself did not design lugia, he just submitted a design order

Well might not be he himself the one who came up with that design but I remember seeing they concept art posted in here. It looked legit and even had moonrunes and shit. The other thing about it being 'a goddess' sounds like bullshit to be fair but who knows with a guy that wanted a Tyrannosaurus rex in the OG anime movie.

If you actually like the sort of linear, story-based game this is, I'd recommend Final Fantasy X, or Eternal Sonata for similar games, and you'll really appreciate just how dogshit XD is for a game in it's genre and how little there is to like
