Nah. We will get info that bdsp will be november release but we won‘t see anything about pla until probably september. Or maybe we will get a little bit and then a release date in autumn and then nothing until january, with a release in march.

They were announced together, so I don’t see why they wouldn’t be promoted together. Clearly, there’s going to be some tie-in between the games.

does anyone have precedent for pokemon games being announced this far ahead of launch?
I personally feel we sill still get more info during or around e3. it's just that bdsp is closer, but there is less news to talk about because of how FAYTFUL it is, so it sort of balances out.
we learned very little about Arceus, so there is plenty to tease

This. They probably won't want to cannibalize BDSP sales, so they'll wait to do a PLA blowout until after the christmas season. Also, when they say "Early 2021", especially for a game that needs to be delayed as much as possible, you know it's probably gonna be around April-June.

Summer at the absolute earliest, around E3 time maybe. However, seeing as how they're being oddly quiet about the DP remakes, I think they might use summer to start promoting those and keep Legends hype for later in the year, when BDSP are closer to release.
