I can't defend Tierno but Shauna and Trevor literally have more backstory than any character in any game that came after.
Gen 6 is a travesty but memorable characters is one of the things it did right, and they only needed to show up as much as they were relevant for.
Gen 7 and 8 had characters show up for no reason which only made them even less memorable.

Sina and Dexio, once again for all of Gen 6's faults, are extremely popular. It helps if you play the game, which XY actually lets you do as opposed to Sun and Moon's needless railroading.

In rule 34, yeah. And what's with the needless jab at gen 7? I remember much more of them, because they have actual personalities. Mina, Nanu, Guzma, Plumeria, Lusamine, Kukui. All great compared to whatever Gen 6 brought.
