Which gens introduced the best mons of each type?

Off the top of my head I think that:
Unova introduced the best bugs
Kalos and Unova introduced some amazing ghost types
And Johto, Hoenn and Unova are all in the running for best dark types

Nope, Gen 6 is objectively the worst of the saga.
Designs were shitty, remakes were worse and the main games were heavy contenders for worst games of the decade

I agree with most of these but I feel like Johto and Alola had much better rock types than Kalos. I love Tyrantrum but it really carries the rest of the Kalos rock types.
Johto has Ttar, Sudowoodo and Magcargo while Alola introduced Lycanroc, Minior and Stakataka who I think are really cool.

I think I like Mimikyu and the Tapus a bit more than Grimmsnarl and Hat. Do we count regional forms in this? Because if so then definitely Alola.
