Gigantamaxes aren't a very meaningful buff in a lot of cases(like Machamp, who would prefer +1 attack each time to a 50% crit chance once) since that given pokemon gets more out of regular Dynamax. If No Guard Dynamic Punch wasn't enough to give Machamp a niche to avoid being outclassed, I don't think there's many tools left they can give it that Conkeldurr doesn't have, especially since they most likely locked RBY transfers to hidden abilities because of No Guard Fissure Machamp. Gen 5 introduced a lot of powerful fighting types, so it's not surprising Conk powercrept Machamp. Machamp's not entirely high on the shillmon totem pole either, probably somewhere below Gengar.
